Privacy Policy

Your Privacy Matters to Us

Effective date: August 11, 2026. This policy explains what personal information Bonne Santé collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Who We Are

Bonne Santé ("Bonne Santé," "we," "us," or "our") is a caregiver staffing and placement agency serving families and care providers across British Columbia, Canada. We operate offices in Burnaby (Lower Mainland) and Victoria (Vancouver Island). This policy applies to personal information we collect through bonnesantecare.com, our contact and caregiver application forms, our caregiver dashboard, and any related communications by phone or email.

We collect and use personal information in accordance with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable British Columbia privacy law.

Information We Collect

We collect different information depending on how you interact with us:

If you contact us

When you submit our contact form, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, the service you're interested in, and any message you send us.

If you apply as a caregiver

Our caregiver application collects a more detailed set of information needed to match you with families and to support your immigration and employment paperwork where applicable. This includes: your name, email, phone number, and profile photo; gender; whether you are currently located in Canada, your province and city, and whether you're willing to relocate; your work authorization status (for example, whether you're a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, or hold an open, closed, or study work permit) and related details; the type of position and hours you're seeking; years of experience, languages spoken, and English proficiency; CPR/first aid certification and your willingness to provide a police information check; whether you have a driver's licence and vehicle; your availability; and a short bio and resume.

We treat work-authorization and immigration-related information as sensitive and only use it for the purposes described below.

Account information

If you register for a caregiver account or staff account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password to authenticate you. If you sign in with Google, we receive the basic profile information Google shares with us for that purpose.

Automatically collected information

Our website is hosted on the Base44 platform, which provides us with basic, first-party analytics (such as page views) to help us understand how our site is used. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking pixels (such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel) on this site.

How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request;
  • Match caregivers with families and care opportunities;
  • Verify work eligibility and support immigration paperwork, in partnership with our in-house regulated immigration practice, Sure Immigration;
  • Coordinate bridge home care coverage through our partner, Sure Worksolutions, where applicable;
  • Administer payroll, tax deductions, and employer compliance for families who hire a caregiver directly through us;
  • Communicate with you about your application, account, or ongoing service;
  • Maintain the security of our systems and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use caregiver applicant data for marketing unrelated to caregiver placement.

Who We Share Information With

We share personal information only where necessary to provide our services:

  • With families or care providers, when a caregiver is being considered for a specific placement (limited to relevant profile information);
  • With Sure Immigration and Sure Worksolutions, our affiliated and partner organizations, for immigration consulting and bridge care coordination;
  • With service providers who host or support our systems (including our website and data platform provider, Base44), under obligations to protect your information;
  • Where required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request from a government or regulatory authority.

Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including any ongoing employment, payroll, or immigration support relationship, and as required to meet our legal and regulatory obligations. Caregiver applications that are not approved, and contact form submissions that do not lead to an ongoing relationship, are retained only as long as reasonably needed before being securely deleted or anonymized.

Your Rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request that we correct inaccurate information, and request that we delete your information, subject to our legal and contractual obligations (for example, payroll and immigration records we're required to retain). To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.

How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information, including role-based access controls that limit who on our team can view caregiver and client records, and secure, encrypted transmission of data submitted through our website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our services are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and our website is not intended for use by children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date.
